Bonobo

Sometimes when you lay down you don't want to hear the night time noises of your home. Sometimes you need something that's just interesting enough if you pay attention that it relaxes you. 

You need something that will aid in that slow crawl of consciousness to sleep. Background music to day dreams and slipping states of consciousness. Trip-hop accomplishes this, originally produced for "chill out" clubs. Imagine being almost incapacitated, this music is what you hear as your peripherals spin.

Bonobo is a solid choice in this kind of music. Listen to it as you fall asleep and you might treasure the time from when your eyes shut til you are unconscious. He hasn't released new material lately, but still is a definitive part of Trip-hop music. As always, enjoy:

These kids are going to catch on. It seems like they aren't even enjoying playing, but it's so groovy. Their sound is kind of dark, with a male and female vocalists to eludes to some shoegaze with an eletro touch. Apparently an album is in the works, or should be atleast. They released a single that's amazing.
